Need a coaster trip, maybe

I've been reading Gonch's trip reports on CoasterBuzz (I'm not sure why he doesn't cross-post to his blog), and I have to admit that I have an itch to do something like that. The last hard-core coaster trip I went on, as in five parks in four days, was in 2001.

I would actually very much like to do Dorney and Hershey. I loathe the idea of going from this point forward, because of crowds, but I know Dorney is a non-issue for the most part because of the push to the water park. It's about a six-hour drive, which means leaving Friday night (and arriving late) to Hershey, then doing a half-day at Dorney and driving back unless we take a long weekend (which is hard for us at the moment).

You're not the only one. I found that flights from Nashville to PHL in October can be around $160. Columbus Day weekend would fit into Beth's schedule nicely. I would even consider SFGAdv if it went down.

But I can also think of a handful of other places that would make a great three day escape.

Jeffy and I are going to Canada's Wonderland next weekend. We are leaving Friday morning and driving back on Sat. night catching the falls and Waldameer on the return trip.

I hope you have fun no matter where you decide to go!

Yeah, the last hard core trip we did was last year with a weeklong spring break trip. We even took Jacob with us who was probably only 14 months old.

Our next hardcore trip won't be happening until spring break of '09 and that'll be California. Of course this still depends on the job sitation and such.
