The gays are coming! The gays are coming!

Unfortunately, some of the news aggregators I use in looking for news to post on CoasterBuzz pick up things that aren't news. Take this "story" about the dire warning about gay day at Disney World. I especially love this line...

"This is an event that is, on its face, very offensive because they're in there demonstrating their same-sex affection..."

Imagine how gay people must feel the other 364 days of the year at Disney, with married people holding hands and taking in the fairy dust.

I also love how this site on its about page says it's "Your latest news from a Christian perspective." Apparently they now speak for the entire religion. It's ironic, given all of the anti-Arab crap on there, presumably because terrorists speak for all Muslims.

Yet another scary faction of people who wrap hate in some kind of moral stand.

This is why I don't and won't attend these types of events. There has got to be someone to make it look dirty, and then I automatically feel like I'm doing something wrong. It's just bullshit how our nation can't accept what's right in front of their face, and once its on display, it needs to be stopped.

Why do you consider it hate when Christian families that have a certain set of beliefs choose to not expose their children to something that goes against those beliefs?

Why is this a crime?

They can do whatever they want with their lives and their children's lives. Who are you to judge?

That's bullshit and you know it. This isn't about "warning families," it's about what they say it is. Read the quote again, this is hate. The sheer existence of gay people going to Disney World offends them.

And as a Christian, I take offense to the generalization about what "Christians" are supposed to do.

OK. I'll bite. You are correct. It is hate. Hatred of sin. Love the sinner, hate the sin.

The problem with most Christians is that they hate the sinner. I don't. I just prefer to not be around blatent sin and have it shoved in my face at every turn.

You certainly can't avoid sin completely, but why put yourself into the middle of "sin pride day" at a theme park if it goes against your moral beliefs? For this reason, I appreciate the warning of the Florida Family association, even if they appear to be espousing hate with their wording. Seems like they just need a new spokesperson.

Oh, so you call me out for judging someone, and your definition of sin is higher on the scale, so you're right? "Christians" like you are so full of shit, because you're always trying to win the most righteous contest.

Love is love, and it is beautiful. If you can't deal with it between two people of the same sex, that's your problem.

I had a pastor once who was totally OK with gay people, and welcomed them into our church. Her take was as long as they didn't engage in "pre-union" sex, she had no problem with it. That's the way it should be. Face it, you're not making a statement because of some loosely interpreted shit you read in the bible, you're doing it because it makes you uncomfortable. No rational person who has really thought about it would care one way or another, because it doesn't affect you.

You, me, straight, gay, whatever, we're all "sinners" if you want to believe that. Just don't go around trying to play it off like you do it less, or yours isn't as bad. Zero or one, true or false... you're a sinner or not. And I think it's safe to say we all are.

So crawl back into your anonymous little hole of the Internet and go hang with the bigots who run "One News Now."

Good for you. You two can move to an island where everyone has the same religion and agrees with each other.

So it was OK for your pastor to be judgemental of certain types of sin, but I can't? She was Ok with certain types of gay sex, so that makes them OK? Great logic.

And if you have a problem with this viewpoint, your argument is with God, not me. The Bible holds quite a different viewpoint from yours and doesnt interpret things "loosely".

Romans 1:26-28 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

1 Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God

Leviticus 18:22 Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

I have nothing else to add and will not bother you anymore. Just wanted to show you what the book your religion is based upon has to say about these things.

I knew the Bible quotes were coming, and I'm not even going to read them. People like you always seem to forget that no one else is obligated to follow your religion, and thinking people can selectively follow the things they believe in. You know, Hitler used the bible to justify his cause too.

My pastor was ten times the person you'll ever be, because she doesn't get caught up telling people they're wrong the way you do. You're a hater.

She prob needed the money. No "pre-union" sex? So thats never since there is no same sex marraige. So basically she wasn't totally ok with it. She prob needed the money.

So you're a judgmental asshole too. Nice. You don't know her. Chalk another one up to being a "good Christian."

There's a really excellent documentary called "For the Bible Tells Me So" that I highly recommend you rent sometime if you haven't seen it yet. It totally goes along with everything you said in response to those anonymous a-holes. I know that it has really changed a lot of hard-core Christians' views on whether being gay is a choice and the ability to be Christian and a homosexual. I would tell these guys to watch it, but I doubt much of anything could make a dent in the amount of hatred they're determined to hold on to.

Why is it OK for Kristin and Jeff to judge others and call us intolerant? Seems like you guys are being very intolerant of those who hold views different from yours. YOU are intolerant.

Are you not hating me for hating the sin of being gay? Which hate is worse - mine or yours? Hate is hate. YOU are haters as well, it seems.

Stop being so judgmental.

You don't get it. Nobody gives a shit what you think is a sin. You're so fucking stuck in your little world of your own religious standards. We don't live in that world.

Stop being so judgmental indeed. Does that qualify as the do as I say not as I do approach? You're so full of shit.

Jeff, I have been all over this great big world and this great big Internet and I have never encountered anyone who harbors as much hate, malice and contempt in his heart and in his actions as you do. It's simply ludicrous. Your attitute toward everyone and everything that does not agree with your worldview is pejorative at best.

Your have a horrible temper and a you are a mean-spiritied hateful person.

You need to get a grip and get control of your anger, bud. You can't control what happens in this world, but you can control how you react.

I need no evidence to prove this other than to reference your own writings or even your latest comment back to me. Look at how you act and talk to other human beings!

Everyone has the power to change. I hope and pray you will. Especially if you are going to have the gaul to tell people you follow Christ. You may fool everyone, but you can't fool God.

Jeff

You don't know me. You don't know I'm angry, and I'm not your bud. You're reading words on a page, and you're too spineless to respond with your real name. Look at all of the judgment. You're so full of shit. All you care about is being more righteous, and trying to make out other people to be bigger haters than yourself.

You aren't a human being to me, you're IP address 68.35.22.145. Some random jerk who hates on gay people.

Again, your morality and religion doesn't mean shit to me. Faith doesn't make you any more right than anyone else.

And for the record, I'll be partying with said homos in Orlando.

For the record, I don't hate gay people. My own sister is gay and I love her and accept her lifestyle. I might think it's a sin, but I can't stop her. It's her choice. So don't judge me when you don't even know my story.

Gays should have 100% equal rights with heterosexuals. Voting, medical decisions for partners, health care, etc... Heck, I don't care if they all want to marry each other and dance a jig in Times Square.

But there are many people who believe the words of the Bible and believe it is a grievous sin. They don't want their kids to be exposed to the gay lifestyle. Why is this such a problem? Why is not OK for a Christian media outlet to warn other believers of an event that may offend them? Why are you so intolerant to our beliefs as Christians? We have just as much right to believe what we want as you do and we are NOT stopping gays from having a special day at the park.

Now, if there were a mass protest against gays, by Christians, in Disney's parking lot, or hate crimes being committed at the event, I would wholeheartedly agree with you. But that is not the case. Gays are getting their pride day as scheduled, and Christians are picking other days. Where's the issue?

And for the record, I am not spineless, just smart. There are a lot of wackos on the Internet. Heck, you think I'm one! :-)

And to Jeffrey, thank you for correcting me on the spelling. Lord knows I never won any spelling bees back in junior high!
