What's really moral?

Given the renewed interest in African poverty, am I the only one that finds it a little (a lot) absurd that we're spending hundreds of billions of dollars on a war against a country that posed no threat to us, instead of spending money on eliminating said poverty, domestic issues like poverty and education, or if you must bomb the shit out of someone, the brutal dictatorships in Africa?

Still waiting for those WMD's and links to terrorism. It's a damn shame people my age and younger are dying for no reason. God bless them for signing up to defend us, but I wish it didn't have to be on the watch of the moron in the White House.

Not that I am a Bush fan, but seriously answer me this question... When was the last time we didn't have a moron in the White House?

Clinton - Riiiiiiight...
Bush Sr - No comment
Reagan - Possibly
Carter - Uh-uh
Ford - Nope
Nixon - Puh-leeze
Johnson - No Way
Kennedy - Definite possibility

Forty years / nine presidents and only two possible non-morons in the White House...Not good odds.

Clinton was an idiot for not keeping it in his pants, but the only really serious policy issue I had on his watch was his non-involvement in Africa, and limited involvement in Eastern Europe. I was having good times on his watch, so I can't really complain.

I wasn't born for Kennedy, but he did seem to inspire. He also seemed to piss-off a lot of people. I think that would at least be a fair trade.
